Nylon (BOPA) thermal lamination film: Manufacturing and Application Analysis of High-performance Materials
Nylon (BOPA) lamination film is a multifunctional polymer film made by compounding multiple materials with EVA adhesive from polyamide (PA) as raw material. Due to its unique properties, it is widely used in many fields. Its production process mainly includes numerous links such as raw material drying, melt extrusion, biaxial stretching, cooling and shaping, composite material and slitting and packaging. First, the nylon particles are dehydrated and dried at high temperatures, and then melted into sheet materials through an extruder. Then, the biaxial stretching technology is utilized to enhance the orientation of the molecular chains, endowing the film with high strength and uniformity. Finally, after cooling, corona treatment, extrusion coating of EVA glue and compounding with pet/cpp and other materials, and slitting, the finished product is formed and sold externally.
I. Core Competitive Advantages:
1. Strong mechanical properties: wear-resistant, tensile-resistant, impact-resistant, and good toughness;
2. Stable chemical properties: Corrosion-resistant, resistant to high and low temperatures, and can be stably used in an environment ranging from -60℃ to 150℃
3. Excellent barrier properties: It has outstanding barrier effects on gases, moisture and oils, extending the shelf life of food or preventing the deterioration of medicines, etc.
4. Other performance: It can be made glossy with high transparency and good gloss, and can be made matte with good texture. It can be treated with halo, and the printing is clear and the colors are bright, suitable for complex packaging requirements.
Ii. Limitations:
1. Its puncture resistance is relatively weaker than that of polyester film, but it can be combined with other materials to make up for this shortcoming.
2. It is highly sensitive to humidity and proper packaging measures should be taken; otherwise, the edges may curl up, affecting both appearance and usage. After composite production, the humidity sensitivity decreases, but it does not affect usage.
3. The production cost is relatively high, and it involves many processes with high process complexity. However, it can be customized for production and is suitable for more complex packaging and printing requirements.
Iii. Application Scenarios
Nylon thermal lamination film have performed outstandingly in the fields of food packaging (vacuum bags, retort bags), pharmaceutical packaging, lithium battery separators and industrial composite substrates. It has strong gas barrier performance, which can lock in the original flavor of food and prevent cross-contamination of flavors. The high-temperature resistance property is suitable for sterilization processes, extending the shelf life of food and medicine. It has good water barrier properties and can be used for liquid packaging of beverages and daily necessities to prevent deterioration and facilitate transportation.
